Guen Murroni is a solo creative professional, known for her award-winning work in film. Her projects have gained recognition at prestigious festivals, including those endorsed by BAFTA and BIFA. Her business centres around storytelling through film, with a growing interest in applying her skills to commercial projects.
Here, Guen shares her journey through the Inclusive Supply Chain programme and how it has helped her pivot her creative skills into the commercial space.
What kind of support did you receive from the Inclusive Supply Chain Programme?
I received 1-2-1 support and guidance from business adviser, Tim Wells. Tim played a pivotal role in helping me understand how my artistic skills could translate into commercial value. Together, we explored my unique selling proposition (USP), focusing on what buyers typically seek and the additional value I could offer. Tim helped me recognise that my experience in film could be leveraged in faster-paced, commercially driven projects, which differ from the traditionally funded arts sector. He also supported me in putting the necessary policies and procedures in place to begin approaching businesses confidently.
How has this support impacted your business growth?
Although I operate as a sole trader, I now feel my business is significantly more secure. The programme helped me expand my market base and grow my professional network, giving me greater stability and new opportunities for collaboration and commercial engagement.
